Arco ‘26. The Makers
The Lumbre project, developed by Manuel Bouzas together with the studio salazarsequeromedina for the ARCO stand, in collaboration with AD and Massimo Dutti, proposes an ephemeral architecture understood both as experience and as narrative. The intervention arises from the dialogue between matter, space, and meaning, and is conceived as an exercise in synthesis between material research, contemporary sensibility, and a commitment to a conscious and responsible way of designing.

Manuel Bouzas’s work is situated in a territory where architecture, material, and landscape engage in dialogue through a sensitive and contemporary perspective. His projects explore the capacity of materials to tell stories, highlighting processes, traces, and transformations.
With a particular focus on wood and on honest construction systems, his work combines technical rigor with spatial poetics, creating spaces that are perceived both physically and through memory. Bouzas understands architecture as an exercise in cultural and environmental responsibility, where each intervention seeks a balance between context, use, and emotion, and where the project becomes a form of constructed thought.

The work of the studio salazarsequeromolina is characterized by an architecture that understands the project as a collective process attentive to its context. Their practice investigates the relationship between material, structure, and space, advocating for solutions that are clear, precise, and constructively honest.
With a contemporary perspective and sensitivity to social and environmental conditions, the studio develops proposals where technique is placed at the service of experience and use. Each intervention seeks to balance rigor and emotion, combining material research, attention to detail, and an openness to collaboration, understanding architecture as a cultural tool capable of generating meaning and transforming its surroundings.
