Model Misha Hart’s naive beauty ensures that magic is possible between the new spring-summer 16 collection and a cool and emerging backdrop: Glasgow.
What are your special memories of growing up in Glasgow?
I grew up in the outskirts of Glasgow so I had the best of both worlds. One minute I could be playing in a forest, climbing trees and in twenty minutes I could be in the heart of Glasgow exploring the city centre. When I think of growing up in Glasgow I think of my tenement flat with high ceilings and beautiful mosaic patterns.
Favourite place for shopping and why?
I love King Street in Glasgow’s Trongate for their great vintage and second hand shops.
Most romantic place for a walk in Glasgow?
Can’t really beat the Botanic Gardens. The Kibble Palace was recently restored and houses some pretty impressive tropical plants – I recommend a visit.
Fashion & Music. Were these fields always amongst your ambitions when you were a child?
Music was always a part of my family life. There was always something blaring from our house and always someone playing a guitar. It’s a natural extension of me. In terms of fashion, I always remember having a unique dress sense from a very young age. I had my own look– unconsciously I guess. I never wanted to dress like anyone else - I dress for me!
Favourite museum or gallery?
I love the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and have so many memories of exploring it when I was a child. It’s incredible to think that it’s a free museum and houses one of Europe’s great art collections.
Who is your Scottish icon?
Shirley Manson
Do you prefer film or theatre?
Film
Jazz or pop?
I’m a huge fan of the Proto Punk and Post Punk eras – Patti Smith, The Stooges, Siouxsie Sioux. I’m really inspired by strong, fearless front women too.
Favourite place for tea or coffee in Glasgow and why?
Tapa – it’s a really cool little organic bakery.
And for a night cap?
El The Grosvenor Café on Ashton Lane is one of my favourite places to eat. Ashton Lane has a great atmosphere with so many cool bars for a drink too. There is so much character in Glasgow’s bars. I also love Nice N’Sleazy on Sauchiehall Street for a drink with friends.
What is your most surreal experience to date?
Without a doubt working with Mario Testino. To work with such an iconic photographer was an honour and an incredible experience.
Is it true you’re going to start a band and release music?
Yes, I don’t want to give too much away but you will hear from us very soon...
What is your life motto?
Live life on your own terms.
What is 2016 going to be about for you?
2016 will be all about the music and just getting it out there. Being creative.

Craig McGinlay
Actor and model with a powerful appearance and aristocratic demeanour, Craig McGinlay becomes our sumptuous guide to Glasgow.
Favourite place for tea or coffee in Glasgow and why?
Sherbrooke Castle Hotel. It's close enough and easy enough to get to and from the city, just off the motorway and the setting outside in the summer is stunning looking across Glasgow. Also the interior has been beautifully decorated with tartan to make this feel like a Scottish Castle. Very relaxing atmosphere.
What are your special memories of growing up in Glasgow?
I actually grew up in Paisley, born and bred, but I went to school in Glasgow. Spending summers with friends, playing football, touch rugby, or just throwing a frisby around in Rouken Glen Park.
Favourite place for a night cap?
Blythswood Square Hotel.
Most romantic place for a walk in Glasgow?
Rouken Glen.
Favourite museum or gallery?
Kelvingrove Art Gallery.
Who is your Scottish icon?
Gerard Butler and Alex Ferguson. GB is a Paisley Buddie like me and when I was considering moving into acting it was the likes of him that made me think if a Paisley boy like Gerard can do it then why not give it a try. I love training and fight choreography so would love to utilise these skills like Butler has in any future movie roles. Also Sir Alex Ferguson is a great leader and has instilled into players overtime that if you work hard you can achieve anything but you must be dedicated. I like to think I am a determined and hard working method actor who is dedicated to his craft.
Do you prefer film or theatre?
Film.
Jazz or pop?
Jazz I do enjoy live music during dinner.
Did you always want to be an actor?
I did always want to be an actor but never thought it was possible until Guy Ritchie cast me in an advert for a whisky brand, called Haig Club. From this, he asked me to audition for Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur, which I was fortunate enough to be offered a role in.
What is 2016 going to be about for you?
Developing. Always looking to improve my craft as an actor. Gain more and more skills, train, analyse other actors, work on my accents, improve in all areas. Leave no stones uncovered and be ready to go for any new auditions or castings coming my way in 2016.
What is your life motto?
If you have a dream, find out how to do it, and just do it. As simple as that. Don't overthink about the obstacles ahead. If you want it, you will do it. Find a way. Don't create excuses. Make time.
