The black slippers and the white skirt, which turns out into an elegant yet easygoing outfit.
If you were to give your readers a fashion style tip, what would it be?
Style must be fun. You have to play around with fashion, experiment, and never stay at a standstill in the past. It is important to renovate the basic wardrobe every so often. And, there is no need whatsoever to get all complicated
We all have a few basic favourite articles that look fabulous on us and make us feel wonderful. So, as of that basis, your style will always be brilliant.
What articles are your «essentials»?
A tuxedo in parts, a pair of high heels, a pair of ballerinas, a pair of jeans and a white shirt. I also like short skirts… I have a whole bunch of them!
What is your «uniform» when you want to quickly deck yourself out elegantly, no matter where it is you are going?
A pair of jeans and a white shirt always makes me feel really good.
So, if you were going to a birthday party after a long day at the office and with no time to go home and change…what elements would add that more festive touch to your look?
A pair of high heels, the hairdo and makeup (most of the time I do my own makeup) and, a shiny accessory of some sort. And, self-confidence!
What garments do you always/never forget to include in your suitcase when you travel?
Most important of all quality undergarments, because they make me feel right at home. A pair of white jeans, because they go beautifully with everything. A pair of black high heels and an evening outfit, because one never knows what might come up… I always forget to bring my swimsuit.
Which do you prefer, Paris or New York?
Both!
And, Los Angeles!
Which are your favourite places in New York? What place makes you think, wow, «I love New York»?
I adore the Top of The Standard. The view is amazing and the ambience, well, it’s just very special. It is also the place where I met my boyfriend, who is a Jazz musician. No other place is more worthy of that statement, «I love New York».
If you were to organize a dinner with friends, what would you cook for them? What would you offer as drinks?
I would prepare some dishes from the south of France. Stuffed vegetables, ratatouille, and maybe a big fish baked in the oven,
seasoned with fennel and lemon. Something very simple and easy, but absolutely delicious.
What do you follow on Instagram?
I follow a whole bunch of amusing accounts, such as Beige Cardigan, or some about travel and interior design, which make me dream. The truth is that I follow about 1000 people, so there are times when things can get a bit confusing. Wait a minute, who published that?
What do you have on your MP3?
Right now I am listening to a lot of podcasts, and I love Here Is The Thing by Alec Baldwin and Brett Easton Ellis. And a few weeks ago I actually launched my own ( Pardon My French ) and… I just love it!
What book are you reading right now?
Oh, I always have a million books going at the same time. One of them is Just Kids, by Patti Smith. I’m probably the only person in the entire universe who still hasn’t finished it.
What would be the perfect gift for a very special person?
Trips! The possibility to travel to a place that I have liked and that I think that person would also enjoy.
What piece of advice would you give to a twenty-year-old?
I would tell them to relax and take their time to explore what they are like and what their life is like. At that age we are desperate for everything to go beautifully, when the truth of the matter is that we have all the time in the world. Take your time!
