The search for locations is an important part of preproduction for photo shoots. There are spaces where the architecture or natural setting are the perfect setting, a place that transmits the idea of an idyllic location with everything a project needs. Massimo Dutti has opted for some of them.

Part of the Sado Estuary Nature Reserve, these cabins built on the sand are a project by architect Manuel Aires Mateus who, in his own words, “made the sand blown in from outside into an element that unites the inner and outer worlds, making us believe we live in an extension of the natural world”.

This boutique hotel, 6 km outside the city sits amongst fields of roses, olive trees and flowering plants. In design terms, the style is a mix of provincial and local, with a particular country feel inspired by organic architecture, with a sense of tradition and age-old crafts.

1933 SHANGHAI BUILDING
Shanghai
The 1933 Shanghai building is an example of Art Deco architecture and currently the nerve centre for design companies and the creative industries. Designed by British architects and constructed in cement imported from the United Kingdom in 1933, it is an impressive maze of spiral stairs and ramps that connect the circular structure in the centre with the exterior walls.

This space, designed by architect Norman Foster with Foster + Partners in a former printing press and garage, was inaugurated in February 2009 It is a pioneering project from the Ivorypress publishing house, founded by Elena Ochoa Foster to combine the worlds of literature and art, and boasts several exhibition areas and a large gallery.

The Palais de Tokyo (Tokyo Palace) is a building dedicated to modern and contemporary art and houses the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris (City of Paris Museum of Modern Art). This centre of contemporary art opened its doors to the public in March 2002 and hosts an interesting programme of artistic exhibitions as well as exclusive events in the fashion industry.

VILLANUEVA PAVILION ROYAL BOTANIC GARDENS

The Villanueva Pavilion is the most emblematic part of the Royal Botanic Gardens. This recently restored building (2008) was built in the 18th century, originally as a greenhouse. Over the years it was used for different activities and currently hosts exhibitions and events.
