The stars of hit TV series “Sex and the City” helped put the Magnolia Bakery on the map as a place of pilgrimage for all the fans who visit New York.  Now, Magnolia Bakery has become a franchise with several shops around New York, Los Angeles or even Dubai. Part of its popularity comes from mythical scenes like the one where Carrie eats a cupcake with Amanda sitting on a bench outside the bakery. It has also appeared in films like “Devil wears Prada”, and in several fashion magazines like Vanity Fair, Vogue, and ELLE. The owners have written different recipe books like The Magnolia Bakery Cookbook: Old-Fashioned Recipes From New York’s Sweetest Bakery.
