The city’s most picturesque, alternative and multicultural neighbourhood. The heart of this area is Sankt Hans square, famous for its wide range of cafes and restaurants. Nørrebrogade, the main street running north to south through the Nørrebro neighbourhood, is a busy shopping area: the street is full of shops, from huge international fashion chain stores to small shops selling traditional Danish products. Art and design are also present, especially in the small stores and art galleries on Elmegade and Jægersborggade.
