Spiralling 128 floors and 632 metres into the air, this building is the tallest in China and the second tallest in the world. The tower houses offices, shops, a luxury hotel and several cultural attractions, as well as nine atrium “sky gardens” throughout the interior of the building. Sustainability is at the heart of its design and construction: the glass façade allows as much natural light in as possible, the parapet collects rainwater, and the wind turbines located at the top of the tower generate on-site power for most floors.
