Now that we have been forced to stay at home and we have supposedly had more time to think, what is your new daily routine?

Claire

Wake up. Work out. Self-care rituals with my children – I’m enjoying spending precious time with them during the confinement. Zooms and checking in with my team for my client projects. Then checking in with my teams daily on i-D France. Trying to take some time to go for a walk and get some sunshine. Arts and crafts with my children. Maybe a second workout. Creative thinking and listening to music while cooking. And repeat.

Are you finding new ways of working?

Claire

Yes definitely, I wouldn’t have shot this via zoom before. With constraints comes creativity. It’s an interesting exercise. I’m trying to embrace the challenges. With my team we’re finding new ways of working with our clients and working remotely with clients on new collections.

What are the new rules in fashion?

Claire

The rules are currently being rewritten as we speak. I’m hopeful we can make some very necessary changes to the fashion industry to slow down the pace and become more considerate to the environment. Less wasteful, more value.

Some people in the fashion industry think new needs in fashion have to do more with emotions than to deliver new clothes. Do you agree?

Claire

Brand philosophy and values will be more important than ever when making a choice about where you choose to shop, and what you choose to wear.

Do you encourage to use Youtube, Instagram, and other digital platforms to make creative voices heard?

Claire

Of course this has been my obsession way before the confinement, and is more important than ever now.

The world right now feels like a place dictated by restrictions: what is your creative solution for the contraints of living?

Claire

Keep busy. Be creative. Stay connected with other creatives in the industry. Share ideas and information. Listen to your feelings and don’t be too hard on yourself! Keep it simple. Stay active it’s good for creativity. Stay positive

If we took advantage if this period of confinement to make a summer wish list, which would be your must-haves?

Claire

My must haves are always a great tunic, denim shorts and a masculine shirt, a great bikini, a classic tote bag, white jeans, massive sunglasses, a big smile and a tan. Fingers crossed I’ll make it to the beach this summer.
