Prestigious interior designer Erico Navazo, in charge of the interior design project of the space ‘Room 48’ in Madrid, has won the award for best interior designer of the year by AD magazine.
‘Room 48’ is a private space created by Massimo Dutti inside its flagship store on Serrano 48 in Madrid which hosts private and experimental sales of its most exclusive collections, as well as various cultural initiatives.
The new space boasts an exquisite atmosphere where neutral colours are featured with a contemporary industrial style. Curtains and carpeted floors coexist with designer furniture, display cabinets, and different elements inspired by nature.
Known as one of the main interior designers in Spain, Erico Navazo has a solid professional background. His style, which he describes as ‘serene and honest’, can be seen in fluid, natural, and cultured spaces with luxurious austerity.
Named ‘Designer of the Year’ in 2019 by the Spanish edition of AD Magazine, among his main projects, renovating the El Hierro Hotel and the Coria Hotel as well as his collaborations on Casa Decor, the renowned project for interior designers, stand out.
With the opening of the Room 48 space, Massimo Dutti was able to transform the shopping experience into something more. The goal was for the customers to be inspired by the pieces they choose.
