Val Castellet
Massimo Dutti’s ArtInProgress project was created with the mission to promote the creativity of local artists from around the world. One of the latest collaborations has been with artist Val Castellet in the Ibiza shop.
After many years of living in Mallorca, Val Castellet finds inspiration in nature, dedicating herself especially to the creation of pieces that combine design, craftsmanship, and art with a fully sustainable approach. Her process merges ancestral techniques with ecological and organic materials, rethinking sustainable and contemporary craftsmanship.
Craftswoman, artist, and designer Val Castellet has many years of experience linking crafts, design, and art from a sustainable perspective, with a contemporary revision of ancient techniques such as weaving, basketry, and textile printing.

Under the title ‘The Unknowing Land Project,’ Val Castellet presents sculptural pieces made from native plants that she collects and transforms into vegetable fibers using ancestral techniques, all viewed from a contemporary perspective.
