Your Instagram profile reads: Vanessa Breuer – Mother, Model, Healthy Chef (and wife) Tell us, how do you maintain a balance between these different roles?

It’s an everyday juggle to balance all those different roles. Someday we manage fine, others we are all overwhelmed. Lately I have been working quite a lot so it is important that we don‘t forget why we are working – to have the quiet life and lots of time to be with our children. If I work too much it all gets out of balance and we all feel exhausted. Most of my jobs take me away from the island which is actually quite nice. When I am away I can be a model, and when I am home I can be a full time mother and chef (which is based in my kitchen only at the moment), I feel confident in going away as my husband stays at home full time. Otherwise there is no way i could manage.

You’ve travelled the world, what made you choose Ibiza as your home?

I feel like the island chose us…. we first came here before we had children when we were living continents apart. Oddy was in Australia and I was living in New York. We met on the island and we fell in love again, not just with each other but also with the energy that we felt here. Later we got married on the island, so when my first daughter was born in Sydney and we decided to spend some time in Europe, Ibiza was on our mind. And them. Well we found this house or maybe it found us because it feels like the first real home I ever had.

Do you think your personal style has evolved?

If I look at old pictures-YES. I much prefer my style now. I am quite casual but I love wearing dresses since I moved to Ibiza. It’s so easy, you just put in on and voila- done.

What tips do you have for busy mothers who want to look stylish?

Just wear something comfortable, that still makes you feel sexy. Also choose the right materials so you don’t need to iron or steam. I always like to wear some boots if i want to dress up my outfits a little

In the age of “Influencers” are fashion magazines still relevant?

Mmhhhhh … I do like magazines but I honestly don’t buy them anymore. I read them at the airports when i have a chance. I think soon everything will be digital. Its a little sad as I like holding a magazine/book but it makes sense as it is so much better for the environment.
