CSI5*W A Coruña
Casas Novas Equestrian Centre recently welcomed a new edition of the International Show Jumping Competition in A Coruña, giving the city jet another opportunity to host a World Cup event: the seventh stage of the 2017-2018 Western European League.
Around 100 horsemen and women from all over the world took part in 11 events. The best riders in the world competed in five CSI5*W class events; local and young up-and-coming riders took part in six CSI2* class events.

The list of participants featured names that appear in the top ten world rankings, including Maikel van der Vleuten, from the Netherlands, and experienced riders such as Daniel Deusser, from Germany, and Denis Lynch, the current European Champion with his team, from Ireland. Other equestrian sports personalities, such as Colombia’s Carlos López, Ludger Beerbaum, from Germany, the twice-champion Julien Epaillard, from France, Sergio Álvarez Moya, from Asturias and Leopold van Asten, from the Netherlands, also attended the event.
