María Tinaut

@mariatinaut

María Tinaut is a visual artist based in Valencia whose work explores poetic and affective discourses through a feminist and queer lens. Although her media shift from project to project, her focus remains on themes such as blueness, the construction of amorous language, and the poetics of the unnoticed. María’s work often aligns with post-conceptual and minimalist strategies.

In her current body of work, she queers the tradition of painting by altering old mattress covers through dyeing and bleaching, transforming these everyday objects into abstract compositions that embody the physicality of the canvas itself.
