ARCOMADRID 2022

ARCOmadrid, the art fair put on by IFEMA MADRID, is back on its usual dates to celebrate its 40 (+1) anniversary from 23 to 27 February. A unique fair that brings together past and future through the galleries and their vital relationship with artists and collectors.

After the one-off celebration of the fair in July 2021, the ARCOmadrid 2022 commemorative edition is set to be a tribute to the galleries as the driving force behind the 40 (+1) uninterrupted editions of the fair.

A total of 185 galleries from 30 countries are participating, 159 of which are included in the General Programme. These are joined by curated sections: ARCO 40 (+1) Anniversary, with 19 galleries; Never the same. Latin American Art, with 8, and Opening by Allianz, a space featuring 15 new galleries for discovering new creators.

This year, 17 Artist Projects will once again be dedicated exclusively to women, contributing to raising the visibility and profile of the work of female creators.

In addition to continuing its initiatives in the digital sphere, ARCO takes on a more contained size to enhance the visitor experienceand the galleries’ success. Five days to enjoy an event that once again combines new artists with icons of the avant-garde past.
