If travelling as a family in Copenhagen, I would recommend Airbnb. Danes have a unique lifestyle that you will discover by looking at their homes. All neighbourhoods a lovely. Rederiksberg and Østerbro are great for children, but I also love Vesterbrø and Christanshavn.

The Meatpacking area in Vesterbrø has lots of nice places to eat. Fish, meat, pizza, Mexican food… You can find anything! Laundromat, which has 3 branches, is perfect for children. I love the one in my area, Østerbro. For the best bread, I recommend Juno Bakery. We also love Meyers Bageri’s cinnamon knots. Just as we like cycling and more often than not our rides end with a good coffee at the Apollo bar. A beautiful little gem near Nyhavn, Kunsthal Charlottenborg. I love the patio!

Faelledparken is a very popular park. We call it our garden because it’s very close to our house. It’s great fun because it has lots of areas for children, sports facilities, a skating ring and lots of grass to sit down and enjoy a summer barbecue! My children like to go there and play football and basketball. So at the weekend that’s where you can find us! Another favourite place of ours is Bellevue Beach, a beach in Klampenborg, in the outskirts north of the city. It’s a lovely beach to go swimming, play volleyball and enjoy a coffee. Anyone brave enough might go for a winter swim or just enjoy a long walk on the beach on a Sunday afternoon.

To discover little shops like florists, one of the most popular streets in Copenhagen is Værnedamsvej, better known as “the French street”, on the border between the neighbourhoods of Vesterbro and Frederiksberg.
