Living

The place: Fundació Joan Miró

The Fundació Miró is a space dedicated to the dissemination of the work of Joan Miró that allows a journey through his vital and artistic landscapes, engaging in an enriching dialogue with other artists of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.

Located in Barcelona, it was created by the artist himself and, over time, has become an international point of reference for the study of contemporary art.

With an interdisciplinary approach, the Fundació Joan Miró combines the permanent exhibition of Joan Miró’s own work with temporary exhibitions of other contemporary artists, academic activities and collaborative projects with other institutions in the country.

The building that houses the foundation was built by the architect Josep Lluís Sert, one of the driving forces behind avant-garde architecture in Catalonia.
