PARIS FASHION SHOW
_THE COUNTDOWN_

With just a few minutes to go before the start of the show, the backstage became the best showcase to be the first to discover the latest trends in fashion and beauty and to take note of the top keys to put them into practice. Many of them are add-ons to the season that we will soon leave behind; others are totally new. But all of them are totally desirable.

HAIR

Although hair trends are not as ephemeral as in fashion, some trends influenced by catwalks also triumph. And the spring/summer 2018 catwalk gives us a few clues, with hairstyles that go from the short pixies of the supermodels of the nineties to the paean to the most natural textures. And if we had to define one of the most noteworthy ones for the upcoming spring/summer, it would be naturalness with shapes and colours that last and give lots of light. As for the cut, hair that is not very styled and is a little wavy is the winner. You must take a look at the classic French woman. For example, to quickly visualise, those ideal and carefree beauties with their perfect wavy and always shiny hair.

Paris Fashion Show | Massimo Dutti

With the catwalk as the luxurious setting and the city of Paris as a witness, the presentation of Massimo Dutti’s new Spring/Summer 18 collections was a display of creativity and innovation that caused a stir among the brand’s loyal followers. A sequence of impactful looks where there was no lack of the concepts inherent to the core of the brand such as quality, exclusivity and progress, particularly in the outline of silhouettes, combination of colours, and study of materials and textures, always seeking maximum quality and comfort. Ultra-feminine looks with some wholly original and natural incarnations for her. Him. Simple. Pure. Thus day-to-day pieces are slotted in naturally, with a casual style redefined on the basis of new values that do without anything that is not natural beauty.

Current beauty styles demand naturalness. And this was how it was reflected in Massimo Dutti’s fashion show in Paris. Natural skin, luminous but without artificiality. A naturalness that seeks to emulate a no make-up look but paying attention to a perfect complexion, adequate illumination and the right touch of blusher. Summery tones, similar to those of the sunset, are transformed into make-up. Yellow, ochre, orange, pink … Eyebrows are left with their natural shape, full, combed with a specific brush and defined with make-up especially for eyebrows. The eyeshadows are in shades very similar to skin or golden. The blusher with a young feel, rosy and like a natural blush, replaces earth tones. This rejuvenates the face and softens features.

Line Up

Palais de Tokyo. Paris. 11 a.m. First line-up. The starting point of a fashion show that surprised an expectant audience with a collection that was a display of creativity and good taste. Models at the top of the list of most sought-after models. A cue that marks the entry into a setting of inhospitable places, typical of the solitude that reigns in the desert and that recalls the austerity of a life surrounded by nature. Earth tones that meet with others equally as warm like oranges, pale pinks and splashes of pure black. All under a unique and bright light capable of enhancing the beauty of some garments of perfectly defined silhouettes and materials that are a tribute to lightheartedness, so typical of the season.
