Art In Progress

Hèléne Del Marmol
PARIS

Massimo Dutti’s Art ln Progress project was created with the mission to promote the creativity of local artists from around the world. The latest collaboration was with artist Hèléne del Marmol whose spectacular and characteristic XXL candles set the arty tone at the presentation of the latest Limited Edition collections at the Commines space in Paris.

HÈLÉNE DEL MARMOL

Designer and craftswoman Hèléne del Mármol is known for her experimental approach to design. She combines graphic elements and geometric forms in three-dimensional pieces, exploring the emotional and magical qualities of everyday objects. Recently, she has worked extensively with organic wax, creating totemic candles that evolve as they burn. Combining radical geometry with the natural movement of wax, he challenges conventional notions of permanence in design, inviting the viewer to actively participate in his art.

Helene del Marmol (Brussels, 1992) is a Belgian designer and craftswoman. She develops her work through experimental research with materials, assimilating graphics and geometry in her three-dimensional pieces. The artist is often interested in the magic of the objects around us, which she believes are deeply shaped by memories. She places us in an emotional dialogue with the objects, leaving functionality in the background. Working with different supports and techniques, wax has had a relevant presence in his recent production. As in a performative exercise, we are invited to decide the fate of his sculptures, with the opportunity to actively participate in their transformation.

In her work, Hélène del Mármol assimilates graphic design and three-dimensional geometry. The functionality of the object takes second place to an emotional dimension. The installation of Hèléne del Marmol’s work in the presentation space of Massimo Dutti’s latest Limited Edition collections in Paris reflects the convergence between artistic expression, nature and the brand’s contemporary aesthetic. An invitation to art and fashion lovers to immerse themselves in an interesting visual journey to explore the duality of life through the eyes of the artist.
